introduction

FINE WINE AS AN ALTERNATIVE ASSET

Fine wine has become one of the world’s most established alternative assets, supported by global demand, limited supply, and a long history of market resilience.

Unlike traditional markets, investment-grade wine derives its value from scarcity, provenance, producer reputation, and ageing potential. As bottles are consumed over time, availability naturally declines, increasing rarity within the secondary market.

At Fine Worth, we provide clients with access to carefully selected wines sourced from globally recognised producers, supported by disciplined portfolio management and long-term market insight.

DEFINED BY SCARCITY. DRIVEN BY DEMAND.

SOURCING STANDARDS

GLOBAL ACCESS & CURATED SELECTION

Fine Worth sources investment-grade wines through a trusted international network of merchants, suppliers, négociants, and private collectors.

Every asset is selected with a focus on provenance, scarcity, producer reputation, and long-term market demand. Our disciplined sourcing approach prioritises authenticity, condition, and storage history to ensure portfolio quality and market confidence.

By combining market insight with global access, we help clients secure wines that are often unavailable through traditional retail channels.

ASSET SECURITY

PROTECTED THROUGH BONDED STORAGE

All client assets are stored in professionally managed bonded warehouses, ensuring optimal conditions for long-term preservation and investment integrity.

Storage & security

The storage of your fine wine is the number one priority, you must ensure your wines are stored correctly, this will ensure your wines are held in the perfect condition for maturing.

Investment-grade wines are typically stored “under bond” in UV and temperature-controlled storage facilities. The correct storage of fine wine will ensure your investment asset quality and value will continue to increase.

Fine Worth can advise on who the best storage facility is to use, whilst your wines are stored you will also have the opportunity to insure them, giving you the confidence that your assets are protected at all times.

The bonded status also means that excise duty only needs to be paid once the wine leaves the storage facility. When trading a wine in bond there will be no excise costs.
